Protect Yourself Against A Database Crash!
I cannot believe what happened. I deleted my blog database!!! Dur…
No…
Not this one…
The one at inter-netties.com which I deleted with just one click of the mouse.
And to make matters worse…
My last back-up dated from March 16th - 4 months of post turned back into thin electrons…
That made me feel bad already in itself.
But the reason I’ve been tearing my hairs out when I finally realized what I had done, is that I actually own this perfect PHP script from Mike Ambrosio which generates automated back-ups of your mySQL databases while you sleep.

I had already installed this script on one of my sites but kept postponing the installation on my other sites.
Don’t ask. It’s insane.
The more since installing and setting it up is really a quick process…
I finally did it this morning. Starting at 8:40 am I uploaded the script to all my servers and set it to back-up 17 databases. Some of them once a day and some of them every 2 days.
How long do you think this process took me?
I actually was totally amazed myself…
Despite spending about 40 minutes locating my database user information I had everything up, tested and running at 10:10 am!
That is exactly 1,5 hours of time and effort to keep my data safe - which could have been even less if I get myself better organized…
Compare this to the 5 hours of work I had fixing the blog last night and recovering posts from cached google pages…
Not to mention the stress of feeling one dumb stupid woman…
So if you haven’t gotten yourself some good database security yet, I highly recommend you take a look at Mike Ambrosio’s automated database backup generator:

In case you are wondering how much this will cost you…
It’s currently selling for $27 only.
Isn’t it amazing how little it costs to save you so much!
Have a great week!

P.S.
In case the words PHP got you frightened about whether or not you will manage to install this script… Let me reassure you. First of all Mike provides a truly excellent installation guide with his software. This is not one of these guess and try scripts. Every step is explained in clear English.
But in case you still rather not burn your fingers on some elementary FTP and CHMODding, he also offers to install your script on your server for a small fee.
