eBay Rules for Selling Software
A very helpful article was posted on the forum today (thanks Bill!) about eBay rules for selling software and other digital downloads.

I know quite a few people creating software with ISB and MYOS are using eBay to sell their products. And not unsuccessfully either. I’m sure they already know about what Bill posted but if you are new to eBay and thinking about selling software there yourself too, it’s always good to have your sales pages properly prepared.
Here’s the most important bit:
Sellers will now be required to identify digital items during the listing process and provide additional information about each product.
Listings for digital products will now include:
- System Requirements.
- File Size.
- File Format.
- Details about any additional software that may be required to use the digital product, such as Adobe Acrobat Reader for .pdf files.
Most important because preferably you should put that on any sales page - not only eBay pages. Or pages where you offer your software as a freebee. Nothing is more annoying than thinking you found a great download only to discover it won’t work on your machine!
