Newbies Guide to Software Development
A couple of months ago a new ebook was released by Jason Tarasi with some help of Michael Rasmussen. The title being Newbies Guide to Software Development I felt I owed it to you to purchase a copy for a review…
Since the sub-headline of the sales page claimed it would show you in less than an hour how to create software with zero programming skills, my first thought was that it could be a guide on how to use programs like Instant Software Builder or Make Your Own Software. As it turned out, this wasn’t the case. They aren’t mentioned at all…
Instead, this books shows you which steps to take when you decide to develop your own software. Be it with or without a programmer.
Though I was a bit disappointed with the level of detail, the overview is actually quite good to develop a project plan. It consists of numerous check lists which will help you to remember every necessary step before launching your new product.
I have created a summary of the book which shows the essentials at one glance:
I should add to this that not all of the material is covered, but after reading the book this overview is enough for me to create a project plan for any new softwares. The keywords on the ‘branches’ serve as reminders and when I’m not clear I get the book out to look it up.
This book was initially selling for quite a few bucks and I must say that considering the contents it was a bit over-prized in my humble opinion. This was the main reason why I was initially reluctant to write the review. However…
Some time later on I purchased the resell rights to this manuscript. And with these rights I can now offer you this book for a price which represents the quality of the contents a lot better. As a matter of fact, you can now get your hands on it at really a bargain price:
Newbies Guide to Software Development for $5.- Only!
If you are using Instant Software Builder, Make Your Own Software or any other compiler to create your own applications, you owe it to yourself to set up your projects properly. This book will definitely help you do this. And of course feel free to use the overview I created as well.
Have a great week!
