Help Me Help Kimberly!
Here’s the thing which has been bogging me the last couple of days…
No - this has nothing to do with creating or marketing software. It’s about a friend of mine who’s in big trouble. And I appreciate it if you can take 5 minutes out of your busy schedule to read this.
If you had 4 kids and you cannot buy groceries anymore and all the payment cheques you wrote got returned…
If you had 4 kids and you now find out all the money has vanished from:
- your bank account
- your saving account
- your paypal account
- your debit card
If you had 4 kids and you’re told that by tomorrow you will be cut of from water, electricity, gas, phone and the internet…
You’d be pretty desparate, right?
That’s what happened to my friend Kimberly Gordon this weekend…
I’ve known Kimberly for about a year. We’re both members of Instant Buzz and she got my attention because she was always being totally helpful and never expecting anything in return.
She worked really hard to earn herself a place as an internet marketer and only a month ago I got this cheerful message that she was doing really well and organising a seminar with big boys like Russell Brunson and Mike Filsaime.
So I was rather shocked when I found out yesterday that this same woman who does everything to support others - with help and encouragement - has been the victim of terrible verbal abuse by her husband for over the last 10 years.
It was only a fortnight ago that she finally had the courage to tell him ‘Enough is enough. Pack your bags and go’. And frankly, I don’t think she would have done it if it hadn’t been for some shock therapy delivered by her 8-year old daughter…
You see - Kimberly’s ex was not only putting her down at every possible occasion. He was doing that preferably in front of the children. And her daughter was learning this nasty habit from her dad all too well.
So when one day Kimberly told her to stop harassing her younger sister, she heard her own flesh and blood tell her to ‘Leave me alone, you stupid bi%ch!’
That was the day she finally kicked her husband out…
Good!
Only, it wasn’t the end of misery…
Without her knowing her ex withdrew every penny they had and maxed out the credit cards. Unfortunately they shared them all…
Kimberly has a few dollars in cash and that’s it.
I don’t know about you, but if something like this would happen to me, I would very much appreciate it if I’d get some help. Like RIGHT NOW!
Now Kimberly will not accept charity. She doesn’t want any donations. She runs a membership site online and she wants to make sure that anyone who is compelled to give her a hand gets good value in return.
